    Postdoctoral Scholar Research Program

UC Davis Health School of Medicine Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is an academic/clinical department encompassing several sub-specialties, working to achieve excellence in patient care, research, and public service. The department’s strategy is built on four pillars: Impactful Advocacy; In-demand, World-Class Education; Innovation through Leading-Edge Research; and World-Class Quality, Value-Driven Clinical Care.

The full-time postdoctoral research program is led by Barton Wise, M.D., M.Sc., FACP and has been designed to offer unique training with a comprehensive experience to prepare scholars for an independent career in their field of study. The scholars collaborate to work under the guidance of a research mentor for advanced research and training beyond the doctoral level. They make significant contributions to the department’s educational and research missions. The ideal candidates should have a suitable background and/or experience, be capable of interacting with our many collaborators, and work with minimal supervision.
