2021–ongoing: California Society of Anesthesiologists Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee (JEDI), which meets monthly to assess ways that we can reach students (including elementary and high school), trainees, and colleagues from a variety of backgrounds to encourage them in careers in anesthesiology. Summaries of Emerging Evidence Question Writer (October 2022–current).Write quarterly questions and discussions about emerging knowledge in the scientific literature to impact and improve the current practice of anesthesiology as part of the American Society of Anesthesiology CME program offerings for the American Board of Anesthesiology MOCA certification. Started on 10/2022 and graduated from novice to full writer in 02/2024.
May 2016–ongoing: Question writer for Summaries of Emerging Evidence (SEE) CME Program for American Society of Anesthesiologists. Editor (October 2018–ongoing).
DEPARTMENT ADMINISTRATIVE ROLES
Oversee all education programs for the Division of Pain Medicine including the pain medicine fellowship, pain pharmacy fellow, resident, medical student, chronic pain rotation, CME and provider education.
