Our ACGME-accredited, three-year fellowship prepares individuals to become leaders in pediatric endocrinology.
Our inpatient service benefits from a state-of-the-art UC Davis Medical Center and Children’s Hospital operating in the academic environment of a nationally recognized university. Pediatric endocrinology fellows spend time in the inpatient setting, outpatient clinic, on elective experiences and doing scholarly work.
Scholarly work is required and is supported by dedicated faculty from the first months of fellowship. Scholarly work may take the form of traditional research or may involve quality improvement or medical education. There are numerous standing conferences that support and enhance our fellows’ learning.
Our pediatric endocrinology faculty include international leaders in diabetic ketoacidosis, obesity and telemedicine. We have a multidisciplinary team of experienced nurses and certified diabetes educators, dieticians and social workers.
Besides our nationally ranked hospital and academic and research programs, the Sacramento community has much to offer in food, arts, culture and sports.

The division also has a longstanding history of success in clinical research, and our department and the broader UC Davis community offer ample opportunities for collaborative research that expands the scope of opportunity for novel projects and quality improvement.
Our pediatric endocrinology training program is designed to fulfill the training requirements of the American Board of Pediatrics. We strive to prepare fellows to be leaders and scholars in the field of pediatric endocrinology.
