Bio:
Dr. Claire Yang earned a Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of Southern California (USC) in 2021 and completed a residency in pharmacy practice at the University of California, Davis Medical Center in 2022. Following the completion of her residency, she accepted a position at UCDMC as a cardiology clinical pharmacist to help pilot, establish, and develop UC Davis Medical Center’s Cardiac Rehabilitation pharmacist services. In this role, she practices in a multidisciplinary team including physicians, exercise physiologists, dieticians, and psychologists, and works intimately with patients to optimize their medication therapies to prevent future cardiovascular complications and ensure successful completion of the exercise program. Dr. Yang also practices in the advanced heart failure team, specializing in comprehensive care for patients living with various disease states including heart failure, amyloidosis, and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
Dr. Yang serves on several university-wide interdisciplinary committees and actively precepts PGY2 and PGY1 residents and fourth year pharmacy students placed at the UC Davis Medical Center. Aside from direct patient care, Dr. Yang has keen interests in interdisciplinary projects and research and welcomes opportunities for collaboration.
