I go into every day with the goal to make someone else’s day better by being there...someone else could be a patient, a colleague, a student or a hospital visitor.

Bio:
Dr. Erin Louie is a board-certified critical care pharmacist. She completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency and PGY2 Critical Care Residency at UCDH after graduating from St. Louis College of Pharmacy. She has practiced in multiple critical care settings since the completion of residency including the emergency department, the medical ICU, surgical ICU, the OR satellite pharmacy, the neurosurgical ICU and the burn ICU.  In 2018, she took on the role as the pharmacy lead in the burn surgery ICU.  She is a member of the American Burn Association and has completed multiple research projects within the burn ICU population.  She enjoys providing direct patient care and working with all the members of the critical care team. 

Dr. Louie serves as a primary preceptor for the burn surgery rotation. She has multiple years’ experience precepting pharmacy students and residents.  She is actively involved in residency research and manuscript writing. She has a volunteer faculty position at UCSF, College of Pharmacy. In 2015, she was recognized with the Pharmacy Service Excellence Award and she received the Pharmacy Residency Preceptor of the Year for the 2014-2015 years.
