Practice Philosophy:
My practice is grounded in belief that we all have the capacity to live well. Chronic disease management is more than medication management. As pharmacists we not only support safe, effective medication use but educate on the behavioral options our patients have to minimize and prevent disease. We advise on medication strategies and coach them in making health behavior changes. Whether in the early stages or the later years, living with chronic disease can still mean living well. Additionally, I practice with a belief that my communication and relationships with my patients will make a difference in their overall outcomes. As a preceptor I coach my residents and students to elevate their healthcare communication skills to take them from novice clinicians to the pharmacists their patients ask for first.
