Practice Philosophy:
As a clinical pharmacist working in highly specialized patient populations, I aim to provide quality comprehensive patient care. By working in a collaborate multidisciplinary setting, I strive to ensure high cost therapies are safe, effective, and financially sustainable. Many patients are overwhelmed by not only their disease but also the complexity of biologic therapies and the high cost associated with these medications. My goal is to help my patients navigate this complex landscape.

Bio:
Dr. Kristen Lau is a clinical pharmacist at UC Davis Health. Dr. Lau graduated from UOP Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy in 2019 and completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at Kaiser Permanente South Sacramento in 2019. Following the completion of her PGY1, she joined the specialty pharmacy Hub team at UC Davis Health in 2020. Dr. Lau provided services to therapeutic specialties that utilized immunology therapies such as Rheumatology, Gastroenterology, and Dermatology. Dr. Lau also established the Adult Allergy Clinic. In 2021, Dr. Lau transitioned to a clinic position and now clinical provides services to the Adult Rheumatology Clinic, Adult Gastroenterology Clinic, and Adult Allergy Clinic. Dr. Lau continues to support Dermatology and Pulmonary services when needed.
