Bio:
Dr. Rebecca Hluhanich is clinical pharmacist in hepatology and infectious diseases, with primary focus in hepatitis C, hepatitis B, and HIV. She also practices in a FQHC primary care clinic managing a wide variety of chronic diseases. Dr. Hluhanich began her pharmacy career at UC Davis Health in 2013 after graduating from UCSF School of Pharmacy. She completed her PGY1 in HIV Ambulatory Care and then continued her career at UC Davis Health in the Hepatology and Infectious Diseases Specialty Pharmacy Clinic. In 2018, she expanded her clinical role to include One Community Health. She has received the UCSF Apple teaching award in 2018 and 2019, and has been awarded the Long Teaching Award in 2019 for excellence in teaching. She also has a strong interest in clinical research and expanding services for pharmacists through grant supported projects. She is currently engaged in the ECHO PLUS program, which is a joint grant funded venture with UCSF to provide telementoring on HCV management to primary care providers in rural areas. She is also the principal investigator on the CITE grant with the initiative to screen patients born between 1945-1965 for HCV and to link them to care within our primary care clinics at UC Davis Health.
