I am a psychiatrist and palliative medicine physician. I see patients in the cancer center and in the hospital. I work as part of a multidisciplinary team of experts, helping to take care of adults dealing with serious illnesses. Our goal is to provide care that is comprehensive and person-centered, aimed at supporting quality of life and easing the burden of suffering, for patients and their loved ones.
Dr. Fairman is a psychiatrist and palliative medicine physician. He helps take care of patients with serious illness, both in the UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center and in the hospital. His particular clinical interests include serious illness communication, advance care planning, and bioethics.
Dr. Fairman's academic and professional interests include provider communication, advance care planning, and bioethics - focused on patients dealing with serious illness.
