Philosophy of Care
Although surgical pathologists rarely have the pleasure of directly meeting our patients, I consider patient care to be my highest calling. My clinical colleagues and I work closely together to ensure our patients receive the best care possible.
Clinical Interests
Dr. Olson is a gastrointestinal and hepatic surgical pathologist who provides adult and pediatric patients with tissue-based diagnoses. She has special clinical interest in eosinophilic esophagitis, multiple forms of colitis including inflammatory bowel disease, and cancers of the gastrointestinal tract and liver.
Research/Academic Interests
Dr. Olson's research focuses on medical education, informatics, artificial intelligence/deep learning, primary sclerosing cholangitis, steatohepatitis and fatty liver disease, and other inflammatory and neoplastic processes of the gastrointestinal tract.
