Dr. Henry believes that effective primary care requires building effective patient-doctor relationships and understanding each patient's priorities and goals of care.
Clinical Interests
Dr. Henry is a general internist and primary care physician who supervises residents in the Lawrence J. Ellison Ambulatory Care Center internal medicine clinic. He has specific clinical interests in chronic pain management and opioid dependence.
Research/Academic Interests
Dr Henry is a health services researcher with multiple research interests, including patient-clinician communication (particularly around chronic pain), primary care pain management, controlled substance prescribing, and opioid use disorder use treatment. He has led a range of research studies in these areas, including projects funded by the NIH, CDC, PCORI, and U.S. Department of Justice.
