Our multidisciplinary surgical teams perform surgeries from basic to complex using conventional and minimally invasive techniques, treating infants, children and teens in our state-of the-art Children’s Surgery Center.

View full bio for Rajvinder S. Dhamrait, M.D.Rajvinder S. Dhamrait, M.D., F.R.C.A., is the director of pediatric anesthesiology and medical director of the Children’s Surgery Center. Dhamrait provides care for pediatric patients with congenital heart conditions requiring corrective cardiac surgery.
He leads a team of physician anesthesiologists and certified registered nurse anesthestists who provide care for all age groups requiring pediatric surgical expertise.

View full bio for Shinjiro Hirose, M.D.Shinjiro Hirose, M.D., is pediatric surgeon specializing in minimally invasive and cancer-related procedures. He serves as chief of pediatric surgery at UC Davis Children’s Hospital and is the director of pediatric surgery for the adjoining Shriners Hospitals for Children – Northern California.
Hirose specializes in minimally invasive surgery for gastrointestinal, biliary, liver and thoracic disorders in fetuses and children, and is a nationally recognized children’s cancer surgeon.

Carolyn A. Parrish, R.N., M.S.N., N.E.-BC, manages the nursing staff at the Children’s Surgery Center at UC Davis Children’s Hospital. Her team of nurses provide care for newborns, children and teens requiring surgical care in a state-of-the-art Level I children's surgery center.
