Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

The American Heart Association’s (AHA) ACLS course builds on the foundation of lifesaving BLS skills, emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR.

The courses are designed for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies and for personnel in emergency response.

The UC Davis Health Center for Professional Practice of Nursing offers courses that are available for employees and community participants in the Sacramento area. Participants will receive an official AHA card upon successful completion.

Proof of Completion

Employees who have taken ACLS outside of UC Davis Health and need to update their certification in UC Learning Center may e-mail their AHA card to cppn@health.ucdavis.edu.

Only AHA cards can be accepted per hospital policy 3010.
