The Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses (APHON) Pediatric Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider Course comprehensively reviews the knowledge needed to administer cytotoxic and biotherapeutic agents.
Upon completing the course and post-test, participants will receive an APHON Pediatric Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider Card. This card validates that the participant has completed the education and demonstrated the knowledge needed to administer chemotherapy and biotherapy agents to pediatric patients.
The participant is responsible for ensuring their provider status is renewed with APHON every 2 years on or before the provider card expiration. Information regarding the online renewal process is found on the APHON website.

Participants must be licensed registered nurses. This course content is appropriate for nurses who are new to pediatric/ adolescent chemotherapy and biotherapy administration, as well as for those who want a comprehensive review.
The Pediatric Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Curriculum is included in the registration fee.
APHON will award 13.75 contact hours to nurses who attend this program in its entirety. APHON is approved as a provider of continuing nursing education by the California Board of Registered Nursing, provider number 14513.
APHON is accredited as an approver of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
Attendees must attend both days to receive C.E. credit. Attendees will not receive C.E. credit if they are more than 20 minutes late on either day; no partial credit can be awarded.

Cancellation must be requested 14 days prior to class to receive a full refund or deposit. A $50 service fee will be charged after this date. If the provider cancels the course a full refund will be provided.
The APHON Pediatric Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Course is NOT a certification course, and is not intended to measure competency. Individual institutions are responsible for determining their own requirements for assessing clinical competency.
