Buckle Up to Grow Up: Car Seat Safety Overview

Car Seat Safety

This child passenger safety overview class is suitable for all UC Davis Health RNs, OTs, and PTs working with newborns, infants, and children in the hospital or clinic setting. Topics include California car seat laws, selecting and securing children, fitting spica cast patients in car seats, and UC Davis Health car seat program and policies.

This class is only open to UC Davis Health employees.

Continuing Education Contact Hours

Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, provider number CEP 26, for 3.42 contact hours.

Buckle Up to Grow is a UC Davis Health-approved course for 3.5 hours of continuing education credit for PTs in California. (Approval #: UCDH2025-02-13E-3Y). UC Davis Health is designated by the Physical Therapy Board of California as a continuing competency approval agency.

Attendees will not receive C.E. credit if they are more than five minutes late; no partial credit can be awarded.

Registrations are approved after your deposit is received. Registration deposit is returned upon completion of class.

Cancellation must be requested five days before the class date to receive a deposit refund.

Parking

Parking is available in parking structure 4, lots 12, 17, 22, 22 Auxiliary, 30, 30 Auxiliary, Broadway, EDD, and DOJ with either a B permit or daily permit.
