Geriatric Symposium: Advancing Age-Friendly Care to Optimize Health and Preserve Function

Health Aging

The 2026 Geriatric Symposium will provide participants with an interdisciplinary learning experience focused on advancing age-friendly care practices that optimize health outcomes, preserve functional independence, and enhance quality of life for older adults. Through expert-led presentations and discussions, attendees will explore evidence-based strategies that support the principles of Age-Friendly Health Systems, including the 4Ms framework: What Matters, Medication, Mentation, and Mobility. Subject matter experts from medicine, nursing, pharmacy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy will share practical approaches to delivering person-centered, coordinated care across healthcare settings. Participants will gain knowledge and tools to better meet the complex needs of the aging population and promote healthy aging.

Continuing Education Contact Hours

Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, provider number CEP 26, for 7.25 contact hours.

UC Davis Health - Center for Professional Practice of Nursing is accredited with distinction as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

Attendees will not receive C.E. credit if they are more than 20 minutes late; no partial credit can be awarded.

Registrations are approved after your deposit is received. Registration deposit is returned upon completion of class.

Cancellation must be requested five days before the class date to receive a deposit refund.

Registration Deadline

Registration will close one week prior to the course date and all pending registrations requests will be cancelled. Walk-ins on the day of the course will not be accepted.
