This course provides a foundation for neonatal pharmacology. A review of medication administration, drug distribution, excretion and resistance will be provided. Commonly used medications in the neonatal population will be reviewed: antibiotics, antivirals, caffeine, diuretics and anticonvulsants. Care of the neonate experiencing Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome will also be provided.
