Pediatric Code Blue and Beyond

Take your pediatric emergency response skills to the next level through immersive, hands-on simulation. This interactive course prepares nurses to confidently recognize and manage critically ill children, respond effectively during pediatric code events, and function as high-performing members of the resuscitation team.

Key topics include pediatric code blue response, PALS-based resuscitation, team roles and communication, airway emergencies, code documentation, trauma resuscitation, Massive Transfusion Protocol (MTP), rapid infuser use, and other high-acuity pediatric emergencies. Participants will strengthen clinical judgment, teamwork, and confidence in managing life-threatening situations in a safe learning environment.

This class is only open to UC Davis Health RNs working in the PICU/PCICU, T7 MISICU Gold, PCR Pediatric Float Pool, and the Children's Hospital Critical Care Transport Team.
