This course provides comprehensive education on the management of Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) in the pediatric critical care setting. This course combines expert-led didactic instruction with hands-on simulation and equipment training to build foundational knowledge and practical skills in CRRT initiation, troubleshooting, patient management, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Designed for pediatric critical care nurses and clinicians, the course emphasizes evidence-based practice, patient safety, and real-world application in caring for critically ill children requiring renal support therapies.
This is a blended learning course that consists of two parts. Part 1 consists of an online learning module that will take approximately 1 hour to complete. Part 2 is the in-person class that is 6 hours. The total time commitment for this course is 7 hours.
This class is only open to UC Davis Health employees for PICU RNs, Children's Hospital Critical Care Transport Team, and PCR Pediatric Critical Care RNs.
Before attending the in-person class, participants must complete an online module. The following e-learning module will be assigned to your UC Learning Center account upon registration. It is recommended that the module is completed within 30 days of the in-person class.
