Pediatric Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) Certification | Center for Professional Practice of Nursing | UC Davis Health

This course provides comprehensive education on the management of Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) in the pediatric critical care setting. This course combines expert-led didactic instruction with hands-on simulation and equipment training to build foundational knowledge and practical skills in CRRT initiation, troubleshooting, patient management, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Designed for pediatric critical care nurses and clinicians, the course emphasizes evidence-based practice, patient safety, and real-world application in caring for critically ill children requiring renal support therapies.

This is a blended learning course that consists of two parts. Part 1 consists of an online learning module that will take approximately 1 hour to complete. Part 2 is the in-person class that is 6 hours. The total time commitment for this course is 7 hours. 

This class is only open to UC Davis Health employees for PICU RNs, Children's Hospital Critical Care Transport Team, and PCR Pediatric Critical Care RNs.

Part 1: Online Module

Before attending the in-person class, participants must complete an online module. The following e-learning module will be assigned to your UC Learning Center account upon registration. It is recommended that the module is completed within 30 days of the in-person class.

Part 2: In-Person Class

When the online module is complete, participants will attend an in-person class. Participants must bring verification of the module completion to class. Continuing Education Contact Hours

Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, provider number CEP 26, for 5.5 contact hours.

Attendees will not receive C.E. credit if they are more than 20 minutes late; no partial credit can be awarded.

The online module provides independently awarded contact hours through an external accrediting provider. Learners should claim their CE certificate directly through the Pediatric Learning Solutions module within UC Learning Center at the end of each module.
