The ELNEC core curriculum has been developed to provide end-of-life education to health-care providers, which translates into excellent care to pediatric patients and their families. Topics include: An introduction to palliative care, pain assessment and management, symptom management, ethical and legal issues, cultural considerations, and communication skills for end-of-life nursing care. Pain, Strategies for teaching loss, grief, and bereavement will also be discussed.
