This course will discuss the theory behind utilization of the wound VAC and provide hands-on demonstrations. At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to define and describe VAC therapy and its benefits, demonstrate the principles involved in placing a VAC dressing on a wound, operate the VAC unit, discuss the progression of the wound during VAC therapy and understand the Mini-VAC technology.
