This course is a self-directed eLearning module designed for UC Davis Health Nurses who are interested in the management of cardiovascular patients. This course is a pre-requisite to completing the Cardiovascular Access and Sheath Management Checklist (PDF).
This course will discuss the pre and post management of patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures. Topics include Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS), Cardiac Catheterization, Electrophysiology (EP), and Structural Heart Disease patient management. The course material will also discuss complications post cardiovascular interventions, common skills and products utilized during patient management and inpatient charting. This course will incorporate case studies to assist in learning.
Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, provider number CEP 26, for 5.33 contact hours.
