Education Development Series: Part 3 - Implementing and Evaluating a Course | Center for Professional Practice of Nursing | UC Davis Health

Education Development Series: Part 3 - Implementing and Evaluating a Course

A well-planned and thoughtfully developed course comes to life through effective implementation and meaningful evaluation. Building on Parts 1 and 2, this course focuses on delivering education that engages learners and evaluating whether it achieved its intended outcomes. Education Development Series: Part 3 – Implementing and Evaluating Courses for Impact is the final course in a three-part series that guides participants through the educational development process, from planning and course development through implementation and evaluation.

In Part 3, participants will learn how to prepare for successful course delivery, facilitate an engaging learning experience, adapt to challenges during implementation, evaluate learner outcomes, and use evaluation and follow-up findings to guide continuous improvement. Through interactive activities and continued application of the healthcare-based case study introduced in Part 1 & 2, participants will apply implementation and evaluation strategies and explore how findings can be used to understand educational effectiveness, support improvements in practice, and inform future educational planning.

This course is designed for anyone involved in planning, developing, implementing, facilitating, or evaluating education and completes the Education Development Series by bringing the full educational development process together.

This course is only open to UC Davis Health employees.
