This session reviews current legal and policy approaches affecting access to gender-affirming care in the United States, including relevant regulatory and judicial frameworks. Participants will examine how healthcare providers and institutions are responding to these policies and consider the implications for clinical decision-making, provider practice, and healthcare systems. The course also summarizes current scientific evidence on clinical outcomes and outlines key legal concepts, including Equal Protection analysis, as they relate to gender-affirming care.
