  • Kari Allen

    CTMS OPS Director

    Kari has her master’s in healthcare administration and is from South Florida. She is a Certified Research Administrator and has been in the research administration and clinical trial space for over 30 years. She spent most of her career at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine (UMSOM) and, most recently, at Dartmouth Health. While at UMSOM, Kari implemented a Shared Service team bringing Sponsored Programs Research Administration (pre and post-award), and Clinical Trial Administration together to serve the School of Medicine.

  • Suzan Bruce

    Suzie is originally from the Sacramento area. She has worked in healthcare for over 30 years with a background in accounts receivable, compliance, certified coder, Medicare policy analyst, and clinical trials analyst. For the last 12 years, Suzie has been at UC Davis in the Clinical Trials Office, developing coverage analysis processes and, more recently, leading the Clinical Trials Office Finance Team, developing tools and processes for Start Up.

  • JoAnna Leon

    CTMS OPS Intake Project Manager

    JoAnna has been in the clinical research profession for 12 years. She was a clinical research coordinator and research supervisor for a private practice for over five years. JoAnna came to the UC Davis Clinical Trials Office in November 2016, coordinating various studies in multiple specialties. In 2021, she became the Clinical Trials Office start up project manager. Before joining our team, she was an intake project manager providing expertise and knowledge as a clinical research coordinator and a project manager.

  • Cynthia Hernandez-Clethen

    CTMS OPS Business Analyst

    Cynthia is originally from San Antonio, Texas but has primarily lived in Sacramento. She has worked in the clinical trial research industry for 25 years and holds an associate's degree in vocational nursing. Cynthia has served as a clinical research office manager, lead clinical research coordinator, and medical assistant. Since 2018 she has been with the Clinical Trials Office Finance team as a budget analyst and, in 2021, was promoted to finance lead. She is now a coverage analyst on the CTMS Operations team.

    Kimberly is originally from Denver, Colorado but has primarily lived in Sacramento. She has worked in the healthcare industry for 16 years as a medical office manager, medical assistant, biller and coder. Since 2021, she has been with the Clinical Trials Office Finance Team as a Budget Analyst and is now a coverage analyst on the CTMS Operations team.

  • Michael Lehman

    CTMS OPS OnCore Database Analyst

    Mike is a Sacramento native with experience in information technology (IT), project management, research coordination, and budgets and finance. He worked for eight years with the State of California in an IT and project management role before moving to UC Davis and the clinical research space. For the last 3 years, Michael has been working in the CTSC Clinical Trials Office, creating and negotiating budgets, maintaining department data sources, creating analytic reports, and building EPIC billing calendars. He's now using this experience to fulfill the needs within Oncore as one of the CTMS Operations team's main calendar builders.

  • Ti'Tanannia Jones

    CTMS OPS OnCore Database Analyst

    Ti'Tanannia has her master’s in healthcare administration. She is originally from New Orleans, moved to Phoenix in 2018, and now resides in Houston, Texas, where she's been for the last two years. She has over 5 years’ experience in planning, directing, and coordinating clinical research projects. Ti'Tanannia spent most of her career at Dignity Health as a senior program coordinator and as a project intake manager at Providence Health Care. She also has experience with Advarra’s CTMS products and coverage analysis.

  • Amanda Childs

    OnCore Development and Education Program Manager

    Amanda has eight years’ expertise in OnCore, and played a pivotal role in developing training programs, centralizing processes, and leading a cohesive team at University of Colorado. Before her roles in clinical research, she was a quality-of-life manager for the American Cancer Society (ACS). While there, Amanda was responsible for the ACS patient programs in the greater Denver metro area including Road to Recovery, Cancer Resource Centers, and a youth camp for siblings of pediatric patients. Amanda is a Colorado native and has lived in Denver for 25 years.

  • Erinn A. Watson

    CTMS Ops Finance Analyst

    Erinn resides in Los Angeles and specializes in research compliance. She has over 12 years of clinical trial industry experience in all research activities including budget negotiating and OnCore. Erinn spent most of her career at a private practice as a Regulatory Supervisor and as a Project Manager for UCLA Health. In 2022, she joined the Clinical Trials Office as a regulatory analyst where she provided support to investigators and staff with Internal Review Board (IRB) submissions, protocol development, and regulatory compliance. She is now using her experience to support the financial needs of the CTMS Operations Office as a finance analyst.

    Karen hails from San Francisco and now resides in Sacramento. She has over a decade of robust experience in the financial industry. Her transition into the medical field stemmed from a hunger for new challenges and a drive to broaden her professional horizons. Karen’s diverse background includes her management of Medicare Coverage Analysis, cost analysis, negotiating terms for clinical trials, and resolving complex inquiries. Karen is committed to upholding financial stability and compliance standards across various sectors, and she remains dedicated to advancing her education within the medical domain.
