Folsom Specialty Care Clinic reopens refreshed location

The Folsom clinic on Turnpike Drive reopened its doors in March after a breezy new refresh. The location is now dedicated to specialty care, including a comprehensive gastroenterology (GI) unit.

Staff and providers celebrated Tuesday morning with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, with remarks from Senior Vice President and Associate Chief Operating Officer Christina Mintner and Executive Director of Ambulatory Operations Tanya Mullen. 

Mullen thanked some of the specialty departments who have long served Folsom patients. Besides Gastroenterology, Pulmonology and Dermatology helped establish the clinic, with more specialties to come.

"We have lots of plans here," added Mintner. 

The enhancements follow last summer's opening of the Folsom Medical Care Clinic (MCC), a 114,000-square-foot facility and the first building on the new Folsom Center for Health campus off Hwy. 50 and East Bidwell. Many specialties relocated to the MCC at that time.

But this month the Folsom focus is all on the Turnpike clinic. The team celebrated their hard work to officially reopen the clinic and also welcomed new Nurse Practice Manager Anthony Quam, whose first day will be April 1.
