Patient Experience Week is an annual celebration of the role of health care workers in delivering kind, compassionate patient experiences. PX Week took place April 28 – May 2. Thank you to those who participated!
What is patient experience?
Patient experience is how patients feel about the care they receive. From the moment they begin their journey of care to the time they leave, every interaction shapes how safe, cared for, and respected they feel.
No matter your role or where you work, you are a vital part of each patient’s story. Every interaction — from a warm greeting to the way you communicate and collaborate — helps shape the experience.
By living our values of kindness, trust and inclusion, you put patients at the center of everything we do.
How did we celebrate PX Week 2025?
During PX Week, UC Davis Health's Experience Design team rounded to various teams across the Medical Center campus and surrounding clinics.
Engaged in site visits to both ancillary and administrative departments, providing swag and treats
Rounded in the hospital with the Fun Cart, handing out swag and snacks
Delivered PX Week Fun Boxes with treats to numerous inpatient settings
Conducted site visits to various ambulatory clinics, where we provided custom recognition boards, swag and treats
Collectively, we were able to engage and thank staff within 77 department/locations for putting patients at the center of everything they do. If you’d like to receive swag/snacks for your unit or department, please have your supervisor/manager reach out to PatientExperience@health.ucdavis.edu.
