The Folsom clinic team grilled and chilled together on a pleasant May afternoon.

The Folsom clinic hosted a Patient Experience Staff Work Together BBQ last Wednesday. The event was a heartfelt thank you to the team behind the clinic’s recent achievements.

In experience surveys, patients consistently rate the Folsom clinic highly for how well the staff works together to care for them. The system-wide Staff Work Together goal is 95.16 for each ambulatory clinic. The Folsom clinic continues to supersede that goal, most recently with a score of 95.27.

Excellence in patient care starts with strong collaboration among staff and leadership. Behind this success is a team that prioritizes UC Davis Health’s values of kindness, trust and inclusion.

“At the heart of everything we do is our shared commitment to putting patients first,” said Folsom Ambulatory Clinic Practice Manager Kristi Riddlesperger, who initiated the BBQ along with Nurse Manager Jenny Papp-Thomas. “Our staff understands the vital importance of working together with respect, collaboration and care to ensure the best outcomes for those we serve.”

The BBQ served not only as a celebration but also a reminder that a connected, collaborative team is the foundation of excellent patient experience. Congratulations to the Folsom clinic for setting a powerful example of what’s possible when staff unite around a common goal—putting the patient at the center of everything they do.
