Construction activity: Lane closures along X and 48th streets
(SACRAMENTO)
The Central Utility Plant expansion (CUPx) team will perform cable pulls along X and 48th streets from Monday, Oct. 26, through Friday, Nov. 6. This work will require phased, midblock lane closures, with some activities occurring simultaneously.
Traffic impacts
Expect single-lane closures at the following locations:
Monday, Oct. 26, through Wednesday, Oct. 28 — X Street near 45th Street
Westbound X Street: Just west of 45th Street.
Eastbound X Street: Just east of 45th Street.
Thursday, Oct. 29, through Monday, Nov. 2 — X Street east of 45th Street
Eastbound X Street: Between 45th and 48th streets.
Tuesday, Nov. 3, through Friday, Nov. 6 — X and 48th streets
Eastbound X Street: Just west of 48th Street.
Northbound 48th Street: Between Second Avenue and Y Street.
Additional impacts
Traffic will remain open in all directions.
Bicyclists will merge with vehicle traffic.
All sidewalks and crosswalks will remain open.
All shuttle stops will remain open.
