Construction activity: Upcoming single lane closures on X and 48th Streets

Monday, Oct. 26, through late December 2026, the Central Utility Plant expansion (CUPx) team will perform cable pulls on X Street and 48th Street, resulting in mid-block lane closures.

The cable pulls will occur in three phases, resulting in partial single-lane closures.

Please note the following details:

• Traffic will be maintained in all directions.

• Bicyclists will merge with vehicular traffic.

• All sidewalks and crosswalks remain open.

• All shuttle stops remain open.

As the CUPx team approaches each phase, they will provide additional details on what to expect and when.
