Food and Nutrition Services updates for Nov. 20 and 21
Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) will offer modified food options during the labor activity on Wednesday, Nov. 20, and Thursday, Nov. 21.
The following services will be offered during labor activity:
- Patient Meals: Patients will be served modified, non-select menu items on disposables.
- Patient Visitor: In the Pavilion Lobby, beverages and food items will be available for visitors:
- Water and coffee: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Morning Snack: 7 a.m. to 9 a.m.
- Bagged lunch service: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Bagged dinner service: 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Ambulatory Care Center Patient Options: From 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., water, coffee, and light refreshments will be served to patients and visitors inside the entrance, near the parking structure.
Pavilion Café:
Tuesday, Nov. 19, the Pavilion Café will be open until 8 p.m. as usual. The Pavilion Café will close during the late-night service (10 p.m. – 11 p.m.) and Wednesday, Nov. 20, during the early morning service (1 a.m. – 4 a.m.)
- The Barista will be open until 11 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 19, and then closed for the duration of the strike.
Hospital Staff Meals:
In Pavilion Café seating area, complementary staff meals (valid UCDH ID badge required) will be served continuously beginning Wednesday, Nov. 20, at 6 a.m. through 4 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 22. Below are the details:
- Wednesday, Nov. 20
- Continental breakfast served 6 a.m. – 10 a.m.
- Bagged meal service continuously from 10 a.m. through 6 a.m. on Nov. 21
- Thursday, Nov. 21
- Continental breakfast served 6 a.m. – 10 a.m.
- Bagged meal service continuously from 10 a.m. through 4 a.m. on Nov. 22
Friday, Nov. 22: Pavilion Café will reopen with modified menu options at 6 a.m. and the ACC Café and Med Ed Café will open at 7 a.m.
Catering Services, Wednesday, Nov. 20 to Friday, Nov. 22:
- Catering Services will be closed for the duration of the strike and will resume Monday, Nov. 25.
Conference Services, Wednesday, Nov. 20 to Thursday, Nov. 21:
- Conference Services will be closed for the duration of the strike and will resume Friday, Nov. 22.
