The Staff Assembly promotes the wellness and interests of UC Davis Health. We offer our employees a voice and provide opportunities for our internal community to get involved and stay informed on all things UC Davis Health.
Membership is open to three-quarter and full-time employees. In fact, when you accepted a position at UC Davis Health, you automatically became a member of Staff Assembly.
There are several ways to connect with colleagues, participate in Staff Assembly events and support the overall growth of UC Davis Health through this group.

Breakfast with the Chancellor dates for this fiscal year have just been announced. This event offers a unique opportunity for staff to engage with UC Davis Chancellor Gary May in a relaxed setting. The 2025 breakfast events will be held on:
Each year, during the holiday season, UC Davis Health Staff Assembly coordinates the UC Davis Health sponsorship with the County of Sacramento to provide holiday gifts for over 200 foster children, young adults aging out of the foster care system, disabled adults, and senior citizens in need.
Keep your eyes open for more announcements about how to sponsor someone this season. Talk to your department about being involved and pledge to sponsor together.
Thank Goodness for Staff (TGFS)
Staff Assembly is anticipating the annual Thank Goodness for Staff (TGFS) event to return this coming spring. The Staff Assembly Executive Committee is reaching out for a call to establish subcommittees to help make this amazing event happen.
By joining a subcommittee for the TGFS event, you’ll have a great opportunity to get connected, network and play a role in the overall success of the largest recognition event in Northern California.
There are subcommittees for all areas of planning. Each category, below, shares short summary of each committees’ roles.
Events: Planning, logistics, coordination, entertainment, activities, feedback and evaluation
Communication: Promotion, coordination with marketing, website updates, social media management, day of event video creation, and more.
Finance: Proposals, assistance with gathering of estimates, auditing expenses, processing payments, etc.
Engagement and Outreach: Volunteer communication, outreach and coordination, updating volunteer roster, facilitate tabling areas, and more.
Offsite: Video streaming, catering coordination and support, solicitation of virtual opportunities, swag distribution, and more.
