Microsoft 365 Migration moving forward for rest of Health staff
Post-migration, certain programs will still require old email
The UC Davis Health Information Technology team is pleased to announce that the migration of IT to the new Microsoft Health environment has been completed and will now be moving on to the rest of UC Davis Health.
What is the Microsoft 365 Migration?
The Microsoft 365 (M365) Migration is the process of moving your M365 data (Outlook, OneDrive, Teams, SharePoint, Power Apps, etc.) from the current environment to a new, more secure Health environment. With this migration, your email will change from username@ucdavis.edu to username@health.ucdavis.edu. Everyone who falls under Health will be migrated to the new environment and will receive an updated email address.

What do I need to do to prepare for the migration?
The M365 Migration team has prepared a series of documents available to staff with pre-, during, and post-migration steps, FAQs, and more. Prior to your migration date, please review the documentation available.

- Pre-Migration Steps - Complete before your migration
- If you are remote, please stay logged in and connected to the VPN the night before your account is migrated.
- Migration Day Steps - Complete the morning after your migration to finish the migration
- Remote users: Reconnect your VPN before beginning your migration day steps.
- Onsite users: Ensure your device is connected to either the UCDH-PROD Wi-Fi network or a wired connection using an Ethernet cable.
- Post-Migration Steps - Complete after finishing your migration day steps
- After 48 hours post-migration, you will no longer be able to send emails from your "Campus" email account.
Please note: Certain applications such as ParkMobile and Zoom will continue to be accessed via your old email account post-migration. If your new email address is not found, please log in using your old @ucdavis email.

Note: Any department not listed will be scheduled soon, in alignment with completing all migrations by June 27. Remote users will also be contacted and migrated in alignment with the June 27 deadline.
