Nominations for Eilers Award, Excellence in Mentoring now open

The Karen Eilers Award for Staff Excellence and the UC Davis Health Staff Assembly Award for Excellence in Mentoring are open for nominations until May 16, 2025.

About the Karen Eilers Award for Staff Excellence

This award recognizes a UC Davis Health staff member who exemplifies the qualities of service orientation, leadership and dedication that Karen Eilers demonstrated during her 34 years of service. Eilers encouraged and mentored staff while creating a positive and fruitful work environment.

About the Staff Assembly Award for Excellence

The Staff Assembly Award for Excellence in Mentoring recognizes an individual staff member who plays a unique role in personal and professional development and institutional growth, which leads to the recruitment and retention of outstanding staff. All UC Davis Health staff members are eligible to be nominated for the Staff Assembly Award for Excellence in Mentoring. Previous recipients of this award, as well as faculty and academic employees, are not eligible.

Recognition

The Karen Eilers Award comes includes a cash prize, which will be presented at the Annual Recognition Reception.

The Staff Assembly Award for Excellence includes a $2,000 cash award or $2,000 toward professional development. Additionally, the recipient’s name will be added to a plaque located on the third floor of the Education Building. The award will also be presented at the Annual Recognition Reception.
