Stockton Boulevard on-ramp closing for 11 days starting May 8

Caltrans announced it will close the Stockton Boulevard on-ramp to westbound Highway 50 for 11 days starting at 10 p.m. Friday, May 8. The on-ramp will reopen at 4 a.m. Monday, May 18.

The closure will affect employees, students and patients leaving the UC Davis Health campus and heading toward downtown Sacramento, Interstate 5 and Davis. Caltrans suggests drivers enter the freeway at Stockton Boulevard, head east, exit at 59th Street and re-enter westbound Highway 50. Staff can also reach 59th Street by traveling east on Broadway.

Additionally, there will be a 55-hour lane reduction from 9 p.m. Friday, May 15, to 4 a.m. Monday, May 18, on westbound Highway 50 from 53rd Street to 32nd Street.

The on-ramp closure may cause traffic backups on Stockton Boulevard heading toward the freeway. The lane reductions may also delay staff arriving on campus overnight.
