UC Davis Health rebadging initiative continues for staff

(SACRAMENTO)

The UC Davis Health Rebadging Initiative, which launched on February 14, 2025, is progressing smoothly. So far, the team has successfully rebadged approximately 10,000 of 22,000 personnel at badging stations located in the North Addition Office building, the Education building, various off-site clinics, and outlying facilities.

Staff Rebadging Required by August 29, 2025

All staff are required to obtain a new badge. Once the UC Davis Health population has been fully rebadged, access via the old badges will be disabled—this includes systems such as Access Control, Imprivata, Ecotime, and ScrubEx. Deactivation of old badges is expected by the end of 2025 or early 2026. Rebadging Locations at NAOB and the Education Building, as well as specified mobile locations, will be available for badge replacement through August 29, 2025. If you have not been rebadged by this date, you will need to submit a ServiceNow catalog request. Your new badge will then be processed through the standard badge update process.

Key information about the UC Davis Health Rebadging Initiative:

  • Rebadging operations are scheduled by building and department.
  • Personnel who have received a badge since February 11, 2025, do not need to be rebadged.
  • All personnel must surrender their old badges.
  • We are conducting a one-for-one badge replacement.
  • New photos will be taken for badge replacement. External photos will not be accepted.
  • The title, department, and degrees on your new badge will match the information on your existing badge. Please submit a ServiceNow badge update request if updates are needed, as the rebadging team cannot make these changes.
  • If you are a current scrubEx user, please inform the rebadging personnel, and they will be able to update your scrubEx account with your new badge number.
  • All current Imprivata users who receive a new badge will have to re-enroll their new badges in Imprivata.
  • Ecotime users may not be able to clock out using the Ecotime time clock on the day they receive their new badge. Please use the Ecotime website.
