Updated paid time off policy now in effect at UC Davis Health

UC Davis Health has updated its Paid Time Off (PTO) policy (Health System Policy 2914) in alignment with UC systemwide guidance. Effective Oct.15, the policy provides clearer details on eligibility, accrual, and payout processes, reinforcing UC’s commitment to employee well-being through rest and rejuvenation.

Key highlights

  • Starting July 2026, employees with PTO balances exceeding 75% of their maximum accrual will automatically receive a payout for excess hours.
  • The previous 300-hour cap has been removed.
