Kimberly Bleichner-Jones, M.B.A., FACHE, serves as Interim Chief Operating Officer for UC Davis Health. Since joining the organization in 2001, she has provided more than two decades of dedicated service, leading strategic initiatives that have advanced health care delivery and improved patient outcomes.
As Interim COO, Bleichner-Jones oversees operational leadership across UC Davis Health’s hospital and ambulatory services. This includes UC Davis Medical Center and UC Davis Children’s Hospital, an acute care academic medical center providing a full range of inpatient acute and intensive care services, as well as the Comprehensive Cancer Center, the Transplant Center, and more than 70 outpatient clinics throughout Northern California. She oversees clinical and support operations, facility and supply chain management, and ancillary services, while advancing quality, safety, and patient experience.
Bleichner-Jones ensures that operations align with UC Davis Health’s mission of excellence in patient care, education, and research. She works closely with clinical and academic leaders to support the School of Medicine and the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing while maintaining a highly engaged and skilled workforce dedicated to delivering exceptional care.
Throughout her career at UC Davis Health, Bleichner-Jones has served in progressive leadership roles, most recently as Senior Vice President and Associate Chief Operating Officer. In that role, she drove system-wide enhancements that strengthened health care delivery and access, while leading large-scale operational transformations across the health system.
Beyond UC Davis Health, she contributes her expertise to the broader community, serving on the United Way California Capital Region and Saint John’s Program for Real Change boards and as board chair for Sacramento Sierra/UC Davis Rehabilitation Hospital. She is also a Senior Fellow of the American Leadership Forum—Mountain Valley.
Bleichner-Jones earned a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Behavior and Leadership from the University of San Francisco and a Master of Business Administration from Wayne State College. She is board-certified and a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
