Philosophy of Care

My goal has always been to provide the best standard of care for my patients. I believe that decision-making in health care should be collaboration between the health care team and the patient and family. Communication is key in order to make this collaboration work well.

Clinical Interests

Sandhya Venugopal is a noninvasive cardiologist and specialist in the use of frontline assessments — the stress test, electrocardiograms and echocardiography — to determine cardiac health.

She is passionate about educating students, residents and fellows in all medical fields about the importance of heart disease prevention and knowing when a cardiac specialist should be added to a patient’s health-care team.

Research/Academic Interests

Dr. Venugopal's unique skills and passion lie in imparting optimal medical education to the adult learner. She endeavors to constantly search and continually strive to reshape the role of the clinician educator.
