Dr. Wiegley is interested in providing high quality care to adults with kidney disease, with special focus in inflammatory kidney conditions (Glomerular Diseases), in addition to critical care nephrology in the hospital and management of individuals with chronic kidney disease in the ambulatory setting. These include chronic kidney disease, glomerulonephritis, electrolyte imbalance, hypertension, as well as long-term kidney replacement therapy such as hemodialysis.
In addition, she is interested in medical education and clinical training of medical students, residents and fellows.
Dr. Wiegley's clinical/research interests include: glomerular diseases, acute kidney injury, electrolyte disorders, progression of chronic kidney disease, and clinical aspects of kidney replacement therapy (dialysis) with a focus on quality improvement.
