Dr. Harper specializes in the diagnosis and management of patients with critical illness and diffuse parenchymal lung diseases. He predominantly sees patients with sarcoidosis. He also provides expertise in cardiopulmonary exercise testing to diagnose patients with unexplained shortness of breath, or to better assess response to therapy.
Dr. Harper's research includes the study of mucosal innate immunity and allergic responses. This includes the study of mechanisms that are critical for neutrophil recruitment in the airway epithelium.
