Why UC Davis? I choose UC Davis because of the residents and faculty. Cliche or not, our small program does provide a close-knit family feel. I learned about PM&R late in my medical school career, but was very fortunate to do an away rotation here. I knew when I rotated, I found the specialty I wanted to pursue, and I knew where I wanted to get my training. As a senior resident planning to go into sports medicine with an interest in adolescent and youth populations, this residency's strong exposure to MSK medicine and unique pediatric populations will play a crucial role in my future plans as a physician. Being a born and raised Southern Californian, for me, Sacramento has been a hidden gem that is the perfect location to train and advance my career.
