Where healing becomes possible

At the UC Davis Trauma Recovery Center (UCD TRC), we provide a safe healing environment for individuals who have suffered from violence, trauma, and loss. We offer culturally-affirming and adversity-informed approaches to help people emerge from the paralyzing identity of being a survivor of violence and trauma to an empowered and whole person. Our clinical staff are experts in trauma-related conditions, provide trauma-centered interventions and help with outreach where barriers to care delivery exist. Through compassion, mindfulness-based stress reduction, narrative exposure therapy, and cognitive-behavioral therapy, we believe anyone who has suffered trauma can grow and heal.

Types of trauma treated include domestic violence, sexual assault, physical assault, community violence, hate crimes, human trafficking and family members of homicide victims.
