Philosophy of Care

My philosophy of care is that the medical condition does not define my patient or the family. It just happens to be a facet presented to us out of 100s of different facets that describes the whole individual. It is not just the patient but the whole family including the siblings that are affected by the diagnosis, and I take care to be attentive to the whole family’s well being. In this I am assisted by my whole team, without whom I would not be able to care so excellently for my patients. Besides, medicine, I believe in importance of other integrative therapies like mindfulness and encourage my patients and their families to discuss their resources with our team.
