Philosophy of Care
I am committed to providing the best possible care to the children and families that I see. I know that when patients are coming to see me, they are facing one of the toughest things possible, the diagnosis of a serious, sometimes devastating disease for their child. I treat every child as I would want a member of my own family to be treated and, with all of our Cancer Center staff, we work as a team with the patient's family to try to help make everything a little less difficult.
Dr. Chung is a pediatric hematologist-oncologist specializing in the care of children with cancer and blood disorders specializing in leukemia, lymphoma and hemoglobinopathies including sickle cell disease and thalassemia.
Dr. Chung participates in multi-center clinical trials for cancer and hemoglobinopathies to better our understanding of these diseases and improve treatments and outcomes for patients.
