Scheduled offerings are available as noted and are currently available via WebEx. Please ask for an appointment regarding any other needs or interests such as grant writing, manuscript preparation, or anything else. Currently, individual appointments can be made for either in-person or WebEx. Interested in submitting a poster or podium presentation at a professional meeting? Attend one of these hands-on sessions for help with writing your abstract!

Assistance is available for you during one of these sessions in which a Clinical Nurse Scientist and EBP & Research Council members offer guidance and real-time editing support for abstract development. Writers of all levels of experience are welcome. Objectives include:

  • Describe three common pitfalls in abstract writing
  • Identify key components of a successful abstract
  • Demonstrate use of existing resources

Disseminate your work in an oral presentation – whether it is a traditional PowerPoint or you want to spice it up with a Prezi or a fast-paced Ignite! session, this workshop is aimed to help you. Workshop objectives include:

  • Discover formats to present information
  • Learn tips for success in formatting and designing your visual aids to inform your oral presentation
  • Find helpful tools and resources

Learn how to access evidence/literature. Both a Clinical Nurse Scientist and Librarian are available individually or together to provide brief instruction and hands-on assistance to help you find the answers to your clinical questions, develop a good search strategy, and next steps in getting the evidence into your practice.
