UC Davis Health upon hire and monthly thereafter, performs exclusion monitoring checks of all UC Davis Health employees, as well as specific cost centers where employees provide cross-campus services to both Davis and Sacramento campuses. Exclusion monitoring checks employees against several state and federal government exclusion lists.
UC Davis Health cannot employ Individuals on one of these lists and cannot receive payment from Federal health care programs for any items or services furnished, ordered, or prescribed by any individual on these lists. This includes those that provide health benefits funded directly or indirectly by the United States (other than the Federal Employees Health Benefits Plan). Potential basis for exclusion can include, but is not limited to, a conviction for Medicare or Medicaid fraud.
