The Regulatory Program within the UC Davis Health Compliance Department aims to empower and support UC Davis Health workforce members to successfully navigate the highly regulated, complex, and broad area of hospital and health care compliance. Offering oversight, education, and consultative services on regulatory issues, the Regulatory Program provides advisory guidance on regulatory, governmental, and policy issues that arise. The Regulatory Program also serves as subject matter experts on new or updated Federal and State regulatory initiatives which often span multiple departments and cross disciplines.

Our services include serving on workgroups to assist in implementing and operationalizing regulatory initiatives across the UC Davis Health community and working with policy owners to update policies to reflect regulatory changes. Workforce members are encouraged to seek Regulatory Program support when regulatory questions or uncertainties arise so that we may support workforce members in remaining compliant with applicable federal and state laws, regulations and policies.

  • 21st Century Cures Information Blocking and Interoperability laws (Federal) 
  • Price Transparency (Federal) 
  • Protection of specific records including reproductive health and gender affirming care (State) 
  • Data Governance (Federal, State, and Policy)
