Breastfeeding Bootcamp

This course provides evidence-based education on breastfeeding and lactation support for perinatal nurses caring for newborns and breastfeeding families. Topics include infant feeding behaviors and cues, effective latch techniques and positioning, hand expression, breast pump use, alternative feeding methods, prevention and management of sore nipples, and strategies for supporting breastfeeding in at-risk infant populations. Participants will also review baby-friendly practices and documentation requirements through case studies and interactive discussion.

Attendance

Participants must attend the entire course and actively participate in case study discussions to receive credit.

Continuing Education Contact Hours

Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, provider number CEP 26, for 3.5 contact hours.

Attendees will not receive C.E. credit if they are more than 5 minutes late; no partial credit can be awarded.

Parking
