Registration for UC Davis Health Biennial CPR 2027 will open October 1, 2026.
This class meets Joint Commission requirements for UC Davis Health staff and is recommended for certification of internal health-care providers only. Course curriculum follows guidelines based on current research, resuscitative science journals and papers, including the current AHA guidelines for CPR and emergency cardiovascular care.
All employees who are required to maintain their CPR certification should renew during the January and February, 2027 biennial cycle. This includes anyone whose CPR certification is expiring before December, 2028. Employees planning to maintain their CPR certification through an outside agency are not required to attend a renewal class.
The CPR Online Module and CPR Skills Check will be assigned as recommended in UC Learning Center. The assignments will be removed at the conclusion of the biennial CPR cycle. Those who register will be prioritized; however, anyone who has completed the eLearning module is welcome to come in for a skills check at a time that fits their schedule.
This is a blended learning course that consists of an online module and in-person skills check. Length of time: Approximately 1.5 hours for the online module, followed by a 20-minute skills check. Staff must demonstrate CPR skills without coaching according to the CPR guidelines. This class is only open to UC Davis Health employees.
Before the CPR skills check, participants must complete an online module, including watching a video, reviewing content, and completing an exam.
